How to watch Bournemouth vs Chelsea on US TV

The Premier League is a cruel place. You can find yourself with no money or an embarrassment of riches, and still only sit in the mid-table position. For Bournemouth a win here would put them in a better place to stay in the division. Frank Lampard is back at Chelsea and needs a win to keep the club from spiraling down the table. For starters, here’s how to watch Bournemouth vs Chelsea live.

Before a ball was kicked this season, few would anticipate that Chelsea and AFC Bournemouth would be playing to see who would occupy a better spot in the middle of the pack. Chelsea’s new ownership and multiple management shifts have led the club down a dark path with almost no chance to earn a top-four spot. The inordinate amount of money splashed on ludicrously expensive transfers has done little to help the club’s slumping performance in the Premier League.

Bournemouth has had its share of manager issues, having dismissed Scott Parker in the early going after he openly criticized the team in a media interview. For the most part, Gary O’Neil has earned his place as the new head coach having steadied results, navigating them away from the dropzone. In April the club secured vital wins against Fulham, Leicester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and geographical rivals, Southampton. Largely this resulted in the club turning the corner in their season and entering the endgame with good form.

By comparison, Chelsea has not improved since replacing Graham Potter with club legend, Frank Lampard. In his second tenure as Blues boss, he’s exited the UEFA Champions League, and lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Brighton, and Brentford. This is seldom the return on the investment Todd Boehly anticipated when buying the club and pumping money into every orifice.

This game will be the third meeting between Gary O’Neil and Frank Lampard – as the Chelsea legend previously managed Everton earlier this season. O’Neil won both of those matches, firstly a 3-0 win in the Premier League and then a 4-1 mauling in the Carabao Cup. Giving the Cherries boss a psychological edge having already beaten his adversary this campaign.

Chelsea did however defeat Bournemouth earlier this season, back when Kai Havertz was firing on all cylinders as he was instrumental in a 2-0 triumph at Stamford Bridge. This game however will be contested at the Vitality Stadium on the English south coast. Chelsea fans have seldom enjoyed their days out to this particular seaside of late, having seen the team draw 2-2 on the prior trip there and before that losing 4-0, back in 2019. This makes for somewhat of troubling ground for the London club as they can’t seem to notch up a win here.

Worked with multiple sports broadcast companies covering a wide array sports. Previously found at NISSAN Stadium, now more local to Elland Road. Missed a penalty in a youth competition cup final.
